The five buildings that comprise the Union Sarah Apartment 510 development are 1920’s era apartment buildings. In early 1980 it was converted into 100 affordable apartment units and the 4100 block of Enright was added to the National Historic Registry. A $5 million renovation on the property was completed while all of the residents were relocated within the complex. The work in the units included new mechanical, electrical, and plumbing fixtures and devices, flooring, paint, cabinets and toilet and closet accessories. The common areas received new acoustical ceilings, energy efficient lighting, vinyl plank flooring and a new community building and management offices will be constructed on site. The exterior of the building will be tuckpointed, roof membranes replaced and new historic replacement windows installed.
