Primary Responsibilities

Roanoke Project Managers (PMs) report to the COO and are responsible for delivering projects on time and on budget from buyout to closeout. PMs must have strong written and verbal communications skills and the ability to build and sustain collaborative relationships with project owners, architects, subcontractors, office and field staff, and project executives.

Successful candidates will be detail and deadline oriented, with a solutions-based mindset and a personal desire to grow as a leader. They will also be invested in helping to create and adhere to the use of standard operating procedures and project management software to ensure thorough documentation, consistent and clear communication, effective task management and timely follow-through. Project cost accounting acumen and the ability to build strong working relationships with the project accounting team are essential.

Skills and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, (or similar) and a minimum of 5 years’ experience in general contracting project management or related field
  • Experience in multifamily housing and specifically affordable housing is preferred
  • Exhibits a high level of personal accountability, initiative, and commitment to continuous learning
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team of diverse employees
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Project) as well as Procore or similar construction management software programs

Working Environment

Work is based in company headquarters in St. Louis, MO. Some travel to visit project sites throughout Midwest is required.

Company provides competitive salary ($95k – $130k, dependent on experience), defined annual bonus plan, health, dental, vision, life, and long-term disability insurance, and a company match on a 401K.
